What does Arlowe love most about nature?

I love nature because it feels like a big adventure. I like listening to birds sing and watching animals run and play. Trees are like giant friends that give us shade, and flowers make the world colorful and happy. I love finding cool rocks, splashing in puddles, and feeling the wind on my face. Being outside makes me feel free and excited, like the whole world is a playground.

What is Arlowe's favorite animal—and why?

My favorite animal is the Binturong because it looks like a fluffy bear and a cat mixed together. I think its long tail is really cool because it can hold onto tree branches like a hand. I also love that it smells like popcorn, which is funny for an animal! It climbs trees and moves slowly, like it’s always on a calm adventure. If I saw one in the forest, I’d want to watch it all day because it seems cute, silly, and magical to me.

What is Arlowe's favorite outdoor activity?

My favorite outdoor thing is helping on our farm with some rescued horses. I like brushing their hair, giving them food, and talking to them so they feel safe and loved. Some of them had a hard life before, so I like showing them people can be kind. When I walk them or sit with them in the field, it makes me really happy. They feel like big, gentle friends, and I’m proud I get to help take care of them.
