I love that nature is beautiful, and that there are so many different plants and animals, there's always something cool to discover. I love when an animal knows they can trust me, when they feel comfortable with me and let me see their personality. If I'm calm and I show them I'm safe, animals feel safe by me.
Chipmunks! They're so soft and cute! Many people ignore them, or don't like them, but they're important to our ecosystem. The nuts and seeds they forget to dig up become new plants and trees. I love watching them stuff their cheeks full of their favorite foods. Plus chipmunks are everywhere so there's almost always a chance to see my favorite animal wherever I go.
Nature walks at a park near our house! They have a nature center and the rangers love teaching about Michigan wildlife. When my class took a field trip there this year, I got to be an assistant ranger and help teach our class about the food chain with cattails, muskrats and minks! It was so cool to help show my friends the cool things right in our backyard!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
