Carter has been fishing and being outdoors since he was able to walk. His favorite is his chicken coop with many species of birds.

Carter is a big collector. Whether it be rocks, shells, or acorns, it’s going into his bucket! He has a range of bird calls that he loves whistling off on the porch and even owl hoots to make the turkeys near our house shock gobble. He is just plain out happier outside and more at home when his feet are in the woods, sand, etc. Carter is not afraid to get dirty and has come to find peace in outdoors rather than being cooped up in the house. It is like his own world when he is exploring.
Carter is absolutely obsessed with owls. Ever since he learned how to owl hoot, it’s been his obsession. We live next door to my parents (country next door) and every night Carter will open up the window and owl hoot and secretly my dad will be outside owl hooting back to him and Carter still get so excited to hear “them” talking back to him like it was the first time he’s ever heard it.
I hate/love to say this but EVERYTHING outdoors is Carter’s favorite activity. I’ve never seen a boy so enamored by what the earth has to offer him. He makes everything his own and loves to be absorbed into anything whether that be morale hunting, fishing, tracking, or even helping papa fill the pit with wood on the back of his children’s side by side. Carter is truly a special boy and I think this opportunity would make him the happiest boy ever. Thank you so much for this chance!
