From a young age my son has been rescuing snakes, exploring our yard for frogs, lizards, and spiders. He is ready to rescue any animal!

He loves reptiles and nature because they remind him of the incredible diversity and beauty of life on Earth. Reptiles, with their ancient past and unique adaptations, are like living pieces of history, each species telling a different story of evolution and survival. He expresses how being close to wildlife makes him feel connected to something bigger than himself, and it reminds him of the importance of protecting our planet and every creature that calls it home.
Snakes are his favourite animal because they are fascinating, mysterious creatures that are often misunderstood. He loves their graceful, silent movements and how they rely on instincts and precision to survive. Their incredible variety; ranging from the harmless garter snake, powerful python, to deadly taipan, shows just how diverse and adaptable they are. Despite not having legs, snakes move with precise elegance, which he finds impressive. They play a crucial role in the circle of life.
When loving in Australia Benjamin loved playing outside where he would spend all day looking for lizards, frogs, and snakes! Since moving to Canada he loves traveling in the mountains, exploring rivers and lakes, and walking his dogs. He has also set up a saltwater fish tank where he cares for and feeds his tropical fish and corals.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
