What does Zain love most about nature?

Zain loves how calming, beautiful and incredible nature is. It's very cool how there are layers to nature. For example, there is a crab who tends to a coral garden in the ocean protecting the coral, and in turn the coral protects him by giving him a home, protecting him from predators. One more interesting thing about nature is, there is always more to discover.

What is Zain's favorite animal—and why?

Zain's favorite animal is the cloud-spotted leopard, a cat living in jungles of South East Asia. Zain loves this cat because of its acrobatic skills - t is able to hang from a tree by its tail and can climb down head first. The cloud spotted leopard's tail is almost as long as the cat's body length, helping it to balance. This cat is extremely rare and is hardly ever seen in the wild. They live in trees hunting and sleeping there. Zain loves their special climbing abilities and elusive nature.

What is Zain's favorite outdoor activity?

Zain loves going on nature walks- being able to discover new animals, plants and creatures along the way. For example, we went to a new hiking trail last summer and Zain identified our first time hearing a piliated woodpecker. It was very exciting! Another time, we were on a new trail near a river and he found red-backed salamanders living under the rocks along the trail. It was our first time seeing a salamander in real life! There is always something new to find!
