My son Wyatt loves all wildlife, especially birds! He wants to be a scientist when he’s older, and especially loves peregrine falcons.

What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreWyatt loves animals, and learning about their behavior! He is especially interested in birds, but likes to learn about all kinds of outdoor wildlife. We often go birding at our local arboretum, bringing his binoculars, bird fact pamphlet, and notebook to make our own bird count. He's quick to absorb new facts, and is often found telling the neighbors about a cheetah's top speed or the jaw strength of an alligator. He loves finding and 'studying' new animals or insects we find in our yard.
The peregrine falcon! He entered his kindergarten science fair with the question "What makes a peregrine falcon so fast?", and researched their shape and speed at the library. He loves them because they are so amazingly fast, and likes to try to get his top running speed close to 200 mph just like them! He's been learning how to draw them using youtube videos.
His favorite outdoor activity is biking, especially with his dad. He also likes going for family neighborhood walks to complete scavenger hunts for fun. He's really interested in the idea of camping - we haven't gone camping as a family yet, but it's on our summer list!
