Receive Text UpdatesWhether it be walking or riding his bike to school, or going on an excursion in the Ruby Mountains- William appreciates the subtle sounds of nature and soaking in all the views. Camping, hiking, mountain biking, hunting for upland game, and fishing in our local marina are all favorites for William. When it’s hot, he loves playing in the creek in Lamoille Canyon. When it gets cold, he loves playing hockey on our outdoor rink and having fun in the snow! He really makes the most of every season!
William loves all animals and learning about their place in nature. He especially loves the local animals in our area. William spends a lot of time in the outdoors where we live. We see wild turkeys, big horn sheep, bald eagles, marmots, antelope, muskrats, badgers, porcupines, rabbits, mule deer, snakes, butterflies, bees, and birds of all kind. They all contribute to the high desert Nevada landscape and make up the place William knows and loves!
Birdwatching is William’s favorite outdoor activity. He enjoys hearing them sing and communicate. He has learned to identify many bird sounds and sometimes tries to call back. He brings his binoculars on every outing to hopefully catch a glimpse- even in our very own yard! Currently, the meadowlarks are one of his favorite birds to hear as they perch in our back field. William would like to be an ornithologist one day and study birds to make our world an even better place!
