Learn MoreI love how nature looks and its history and what it does for the world. Being in nature makes me feel like we should protect it because it’s a very special thing. I like to learn about how the natural world used to be and how it is now. I like that nature shows what our past was like and I like how it inspires people to be creative.
My favorite animal is an octopus because of how smart it is and how some types use tools. My favorite octopus is probably the one that can use coconuts to hide. They talk about it in the Dumbo Octopus graphic guide to cephalopods.
My favorite outdoor activity is swimming. I like to swim because it is fun to be in the water. I also like hiking because it’s fun to be in nature and see animals. We took a book about flowers hiking in the Great Smokey Mountains and saw a lot of different kinds to identify.
