Tanner: I love that nature is a natural playground that keeps us happy. You can have a million adventures of any size even in your own backyard. I enjoy seeing all types of animals from cute and cuddly to spiky and venomous. Nature makes me feel in sync and full of emotions—sometimes calm, a little scared, and sometimes really excited.
Tanner:I have a lot of favorite animals, but right now my favorite is the Hawaiian monk seal! At Ocean Guardians club at school I learned how they help keep the ecosystem healthy. Plus, they’re super adorable when they’re lounging on the beach like little sleepy potatoes. I’m really excited because a new baby monk seal was just born on our island yesterday—which is a because they’re endangered! There are only1,500 monk seals left in the world, and they live here in Hawaii.
Tanner: I love playing in the shore pound at the beach, body boarding and surfing with my friends. Sometimes we see turtles or dolphins swimming near us and one time when we were playing on a raft we saw a reef shark. I feel like I'm floating in the waves when I'm lying in my bed before I fall asleep.
