Sway has been fortunate enough to travel around the globe. Whether he is in his home country of the USA or across the world, it is the wildlife he has a true passion for. He’s been found tending wild ant colonies, catching and releasing crawdads and other critters in the creek, relocating lizards that snuck into a school classroom, releasing spiders or other insects that make their way inside, and helping to rescue baby squirrels abandoned from a nest. His love for creatures has saved many.
While he’s been fortunate enough to live on a small homestead with a llama, sheep, horse, cat, dog, and lots of chickens, his favorite animal has always been snakes. Sway saved money from a young age and purchased a corn snake he named “Maui” at the age of five. Happy tears were shed when Maui arrived and he’s been with us ever since. Sway also helps his mom relocate snakes whenever someone is in need of one removed from their home or property.
Sway has a hard time picking a favorite. He loves to climb trees, explore creeks, find cool rocks and geodes, fish, camp, ski and swim. If he’s outside at home, he can usually be found up at the barn spending time with his chickens. He has a small stand he helped build called “Sway’s Stand” where he sells his eggs, garden veggies, homemade pickles he and his grandpa make, and pumpkins he grows in the fall. He also enjoys foraging for edible plants and mushrooms with his mom and dad.
