He notices the little things most people miss and is always curious about what he finds. He also loves that being outside brings everyone together. When you’re in nature, you’re not distracted you’re actually spending real time with family, exploring and experiencing it together. For Sonny, it’s not just being outside it’s how it makes him feel calm, curious, and connected.
My favourite animal is dogs because I have one, and he gets me outside all the time. We go on trails together and he makes every walk an adventure. He’s always chasing squirrels, finding toads, and following smells I can’t even notice. One time he even chased a deer and got lost, which was a little scary but also showed me how wild nature really is. I like dogs because they help you explore more and see nature in a way you wouldn’t on your own.
My favourite outdoor activity is quading through trails and fishing. I like quading because it feels like exploring and you never know what you’re going to see. We go through trails, mud, and different paths, & sometimes I spot animals or cool tracks. I like fishing because it’s calm but also exciting when you finally get a bite. You have to be patient, but it’s really fun when you catch something. Both are my favourite because I get to be outside & spend time with my family while doing them.
