What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreSienne's favorite thing about nature is exploring and learning new things. She has always enjoyed going on nature adventures and discovering new wildlife. We used to live in Connecticut with a huge back yard that was surrounded by woods. Regular visitors included coyotes, fox, bear, deer, turkey, and her favorite wildlife friend, "Bard" our resident barred owl. We are now living in Georgia where frogs, snails, lizards, and insects have become our backyard friends and new places to explore.
Sienne's favorite animal is the red panda. She has several red panda 'stuffies' which are deeply loved. She loves red pandas long striped tail and cute faces. Sienne also loves giraffe, giant pandas, cheetahs, sloths, and sea otters. She enjoys learning the different characteristics that make each animal special and unique. Her uncle works at the Bronx Zoo and has taken Sienne and her family on some very special visits to see some of these animals up close and personal.
When Sienne isn't busy riding her bike, scooter, or planting in the garden, she is going for nature walks with mom and exploring the local creek with dad. She has grown up calling these outdoor adventures "going on safari." Rain boots, collecting containers, her portable magnifying glass, and bug catcher are necessities especially when she is in the woods or at the creek. Visiting our local reserve which she has named "frog heaven" is also a favorite place to explore.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
