What does Sawyer love most about nature?

Sawyer loves that nature is always full of surprises. He notices everything—tiny bugs, animal tracks, birds overhead—and asks endless questions. He feels happiest outside, exploring, getting messy, and discovering how animals live. Nature isn’t just something he visits, it’s where his curiosity comes alive and where he feels most like himself.

What is Sawyer's favorite animal—and why?

Sawyer’s favorite animal is the Tapir because he thinks they are “funny, gentle, and important.” He loves their unique look and has learned how they help forests by spreading seeds. He often talks about protecting animals like Tapirs so they have safe places to live. To him, the Tapir is special because it shows how even unusual animals play a big role in nature.

What is Sawyer's favorite outdoor activity?

His favorite activity is exploring trails and pretending to be a wildlife ranger. He searches for animal tracks, listens for birds, and loves visiting the zoo and nature centers where he can observe animals up close. He’s always on the move—climbing, digging, and discovering—turning every outing into an adventure to learn about and protect wildlife
