This boy lives to be outdoors. His dream is to be a game warden, and his first word was “elk.”

What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreHe says, “I enjoy the smell of the outdoors, hiking, and seeing things the roads won’t take me to. It makes me feel free and relaxed to be in nature. I don’t want to ruin my brain by being indoors playing video games. I can use my imagination when outdoors.”
He says, “an elk because my first word was elk, I like how big they are, their color, and how they sound when they bugle. I’ve been within five yards of a full-grown, 6-point elk by calling it in while waiting for hours under a juniper pine. It taught me patience, stealth, and how to enjoy the sounds of nature like the wind blowing through the high desert mountains of Nevada.”
He says, “hunting with family. I finally got my first deer tag this year. I will hunt in Idaho while making memories with my family and providing them with meat in the freezer. Some people think hunting is bad, but it’s better than eating animals from the store that were raised in fences and cages with hormones and stuff. The animals I hunt lived a good, free-roaming life not controlled by humans. I am always grateful for what they provide.”
