Learn MoreRosie Momi always looks for flowers! We have many beautiful, vibrant & fragrant flowers in Hawaii and Momi has always loved picking them to make lei or to gift to someone special. She truly loves to explore the land she belongs to, which includes everything from the mountains to the ocean. She loves to find what she calls, "treasures," along the way. Her greatest gift is curiosity and the ability to find beauty in everything around her.
Rosie Momi's favorite animal is currently a pueo or owl. We have a memory game that features native Hawaiian birds and plants and she thinks the pueo is cutest and always tries to find it first.
Rosie Momi loves to swim! When we go to the beach she plays in the sand or rides her boogie board. Sometimes we have picnics by the tidepools, where we look for shells and sea glass. On other days, we have "bug play dates" with her friend after school. They dig for rollie pollies and make "bug shelters" for them. She also loves riding her bike, hiking, going on walks, gardening and volunteering with 808 clean ups, where she helps remove trash & invasive plants and restores native ones.
