He adds, "I also love seeing the designs on different creatures, and seeing how interesting and beautiful they are." Ravi also loves identifying cool new rocks using his Rocks & Minerals pocket guide.
Turtles are Ravi's favorite North American animal. He says, "Last summer I got to watch turtles lay eggs in our backyard! Then I got to watch the turtles crawl safely back towards the river. I helped my mom protect their nests from predators. It’s sad that some turtles are endangered."
Ravi loves to collect local organic seeds and plant them in his garden to provide bees, butterflies, and birds with nectar and pollen to eat (and his family with tasty food too!). He gardens without chemicals to help keep people, the soil, and wild animals healthy. Ravi also loves hiking in state and national parks where he can explore rivers, mountains, deserts, and forests, and he loves helping his Dad make safe and cozy campfires for his family.
