I never know what interesting things I’ll find in nature. Sometimes it’s a weird bug, a colorful flower, or even a deer hiding behind the trees. Nature is really beautiful and amazing. I’m reminded of that beauty when I see sunlight making leaves glow or hearing birds sing in the morning.
My favorite animal is the pronghorn. While I like all animals, pronghorn stand out to me. They are cool looking creatures with their forked horns and stripes on their neck. Plus they are the fastest land animal in the western hemisphere and second fastest land mammal in the world after the cheetah. Pronghorn are super cool and unique and are my favorite animal!
My favorite outdoor activity is hiking because every hike is different, and you never know what you might see. On my hikes, I sometimes spot eagles, deer, or even tracks from coyotes. I love finding animals along the trail. Hiking helps me feel calm and happy because I get to be in the quiet of nature, far away from school and the city and all the noise.
