Receive Text UpdatesWhen I asked Quinn what he would like to answer, he said, "The wildlife!" He added "I especially like protecting endangered animals!" Quinn goes to the Stone Zoo every Wednesday, no matter the weather! Watching him share information about animals from the beelzebufo to the axolotl to a grey fox is inspiring! Quinn's passion for animals is a celebration of love. When he is exploring nature, he is on a quest for "animal moms and babies" and he is always up to hunt for a nest!
When people ask Quinn what his favorite animal is he always answers, "All of them." A question that he can answer is "what animal is he focused on today?" Today he has celebrated the incredible attributes of the thylacine or Tasmanian tiger to everyone in his orbit. He loves to learn (and share) all he can about both unusual characteristic and standard facts. The equality of his passion for all animals is a lovely reminder of how I should live too. He teaches me how to be a better person.
When Quinn was 2 years old, I took him to the beach near our home. He walked fully dressed right into the water! This was December and we live in Boston so you can picture the weather. We knew then that Quinn's love for nature was something really special. Since every day must include some time outside for Quinn, if we cannot get to a zoo, aquarium or museum, he has us head out to search for a vernal pond! He is happiest searching for salamander eggs or watching a bald eagle hunt.
