Receive Text UpdatesPreston enjoys the variety of animals and their adaptative skills to changes in their environment. He enjoys observing them when in nature and understands the importance of zoos, aquariums, and refuges. He appreciates ecosystems and learning the various relationships between animal and plant species. He is most confident when the subject is nature and animals.
This week, his favorite animal to discuss is the Aiptasia-Eating Filefish. He has been researching to determine compatibility with his saltwater aquarium regarding corals, anemones, and his other "babies." Preston never really has a favorite but finds interest in learning about animals in general. I do feel he has an affinity for marine life above everything else.
Preston enjoys hiking and camping. He lights up when he comes across a stream or wading/eddy pool where he can investigate the animals and get his feet wet. He is so gentle and calm with the animals, and makes sure that others are respectful. Scouts has afforded him more opportunities to experience the outdoors and learn.
