Cleaning up the neighborhood pond with my Cub Scout troop showed me how even small actions can protect animals and keep their homes safe. I like learning about ecosystems and being part of something bigger that needs our help. I also enjoy just being in nature, hiking it, camping and exploring it.
My favorite animal is the polar bear because they are strong but also need our help. I learned about how melting ice caps make it hard for them to survive, and it made me want to protect them. I like that they remind us how important it is to take care of the Earth.
My favorite outdoor activity is helping protect animals in their habitats. I helped take care of sea turtle nests in North Carolina, making sure they stayed safe. I also enjoy exploring, cleaning up nature, and learning new things outside where I can make a difference.
