What does Milo love most about nature?

Milo loves connecting with nature and growing his understanding of the mutual relationships all life-forms share in coexisting. He has a profound compassion for creatures small and large, choosing to follow a vegetarian diet, community cleanups, foster a pet, & rescue wildlife. Last year, Milo began his goal to visit all continental National Parks like his grandpa and uncle completed, starting with Mammoth Caves and Smoky Mountains. His favorite books are “Who Would Win” animal competitions.

What is Milo's favorite animal—and why?

Milo’s favorite animals are sharks; specifically Great White Sharks! He find them more fascinating than scary and is concerned to protect their species. Milo wants to promote awareness regarding human pollution in our oceans and improved fishing practices. Milo says sharks do not want to hunt us so we should not hunt them but respect them and their home.

What is Milo's favorite outdoor activity?

One of Milo’s favorite outdoor activities is swimming (and creating towns with friends with items from nature like in the book Roxaboxen). Milo participates in an annual mini-triathlon swimming .25 miles across his neighborhood lake, 2mi bike ride, and 1mi jog. Milo’s favorite memories are snorkeling with eagle rays in Orlando and zip lining over black bears in the Smokies. He never tires of being in the water or outdoors! He has a natural conservationist’s heart.
