Maya loves exploring the outdoors alongside her family. She says it always "puts her in a happy mood and makes her feel peaceful". Maya appreciates the little details that most adults wouldn't notice. One day, Maya was picked up from school and was teary-eyed. When asked why she was sad, it was because her teacher wouldn't let her keep the worm she rescued from the playground in her lunch box. She has the biggest heart!
Maya loves giraffes because they’re very tall and can eat leaves that are up high in trees. She also loves that giraffes seem like gentle, kind animals and hopes to one day see them in Africa.
Maya loves swimming in the ocean and using her imagination at the beach. When she’s not at the beach in her home state of Florida, Maya loves hiking - the more bridges and rocks, the better!
