Receive Text UpdatesAnimals are his greatest passion. He loves caring for them, holding them, and creating habitats. He’d much rather explore a forest than stay indoors. His books are all about animals, dinosaurs, reptiles, and ecosystems. Since age two, his love for nature has only grown. Now six, he still dreams of becoming a zookeeper or an explorer discovering new species, often returning home with “nature treasures,” even bones.
He says he loves all animals and finds it hard to choose, but reptiles are his favorite, especially the armadillo lizard, because it swats its tail at its enemies. He also loves dinosaurs. His favorite extinct animal is the Tasmanian tiger because “it can stand on it’s tail.” He feels deeply about extinction and is passionate about protecting animals, often drawn to how species went extinct and wanting to fix it.
His favorite outdoor activity is exploring the forest. Being homeschooled, he loved our nature co-op, finding tracks, scat, insects, bones, feathers, and nests, then identifying them. Discovering coyote tracks and deer bones made the food chain come alive to him & he loved it. He enjoys using a magnifying glass to study insects & loves creating habitats for frogs, turtles, snakes, caterpillars, & praying mantises. He finds so much joy ensuring each creature has a safe home & is well cared for.
