What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreMason loves the uniqueness of every animal he encounters. He loves their colors, the way they move, and learning their impact on nature. It’s amazing how many animals he can identify without even having to look them up! Mason loves observing animals but also enjoys so much when he can catch and actually touch them. Then releases them back to their home. Recently Mason dove head first into a creek, fully submerged and came up with a yellow belly slider! It was amazing!
Definitely anything turtle related or fox related. Mason has encountered many turtles since he was very young. This involved rehabilitating and the releasing turtles back into the wild. This has allowed him to gain responsibility for their well being. It has also given him an opportunity to learn even more about their movements, habits, and what helps them thrive. When it comes to a fox, it has to do with their craftiness and uniqueness. He would love to see one Face to Face.
Searching creeks and the woods; especially during spring. He can spend hours outdoors looking for salamanders, snakes, turtles, and anything that he can observe. He also lives volunteering at the humane society with his mom. They go once a month to walk dogs and love on all the animals that do not have homes yet. Yes, he loves hiking and climbing mountains but if they is a critter near he is going to catch it!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
