What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreMy son loves that nature exploring is always a new adventure. Living on the coast in NC; one day it’s waves at the beach, the next it’s mountains to climb or trails to explore. He enjoys looking for animals, collecting treasures like rocks and shells, and feeling like every outdoor trip is an opportunity to see and do something new.
Crabs are his favorite animal because they are fun to find, catch and eat. At night on the beach he likes to look for ghost crabs with a flashlight and see how fast they run. He also helps our neighbors harvest soft shell crabs and loves to cook and eat them too. During our day beach trips, he catches the tiny baby crabs and carries them around like little friends before letting them go. He thinks crabs are the coolest animals at the beach.
Mason’s favorite outdoor activity to do is ride the boat to the beach and camp on the spoil islands. He loves exploring and seeing what treasures he can find. At night he hunts ghost crabs with flashlights. They run really fast! After that we sit by the fire and make s’mores. Camping on the beach is he favorite adventure.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
