What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreWhat he likes most about nature are insects. Many people do not pay attention to insects, but he finds them very interesting and important. When he sees insects, he becomes curious and wants to learn more about them. His favorite insects are grasshoppers. He especially likes them when they come in large numbers during their season in November in Uganda. During that time, he enjoys watching them jump around and fly. It makes him excited because it shows how active and lively nature can be.
His favourite animal is a grasshopper, especially during that season in Uganda. He finds this interesting because it shows how nature provides food for people. He has seen how people collect them at night and prepare them. Even though people eat them, he still likes watching them in their natural environment. What he likes most about grasshoppers is how energetic they are. They don’t stay in one place for long, and they are always alert.
The activity he enjoys is gently catching insects like grasshoppers just to look at them closely. He does not harm them; he only observes them for a short time before letting them go. This helps him learn more about how they look and behave. He also likes walking around his home area or garden to explore. While walking, he pays attention to the grass, trees, and small animals around. Sometimes he finds different insects hiding in leaves or grass, and that makes the walk more exciting.
