What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreLuca loves observing and caring for all animals. He loves to watch them closely in their environment and observe the ways they behave and adapt in the wild. We have a dog, a bearded dragon, 4 wild caught spiders and 5 tarantulas (We even inspect their molts with a microscope). He’s currently most interested in learning about arachnids and we often tour the nature reserves in our hometown to learn more about the animals and plants indigenous to the area.
Luca’s favorite animal is the Mexican Black Kingsnake. He loves them for their iridescent black scales and relatively docile behavior, making them great for handling (When they aren’t hungry). He is also fascinated by the fact that they are immune to pitviper venom.
Luca’s favorite outdoor hobbies include climbing trees and searching our garden for insects and spiders. We’ve created bioactive enclosure to observe them more closely.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
