Receive Text UpdatesLeo was a late walker and talker but at a very young age found joy and connection outdoors. When he began speaking, his first words were about animals. Leo appreciates the calm he feels when in nature and, while on hikes and explorations, he's often the first to notice what others miss—a tail in the trees, the pattern on a bird's wings, ripples in the creek—quiet signs that nature’s alive all around us. He doesn’t just LOVE nature; he truly SEES it.
Leo doesn't have just ONE favorite animal—he reveres "all dangerous animals". He says they're misunderstood and believes that if people KNEW more about them, they would CARE more about them and "wouldn't be so scared". Leo understands that animals need safe habitats to thrive, and he often reminds others to be gentle and respectful—including insisting that his parents never squish insects who’ve wandered indoors but must instead carefully release them into the wild.
Hiking! Leo enjoys exploring new trails and splashing in creeks with his “KindTreeKids” and “Super Heroes Club” nature groups, spotting rare animals, using his fishing net to scoop trash out of waterways, and sharing interesting facts with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. But in his words, his favorite thing to do in nature is to "just take it all in".
