What does Kenneth love most about nature?

Animals! I love reading and learning about them, especially rare and unique ones. It’s even better when I get to see them in real life. At home on the North Carolina coast I love exploring the marsh and crabbing with my dad. I love looking for birds and sea life. I’ve also been to Costa Rica a lot of times. It’s really exciting to see howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, sloths, olive ridley sea turtles, iguanas and colorful birds like mot mots in the wild. Nature is where I feel most at home!

What is Kenneth's favorite animal—and why?

My favorite animal in the world is the resplendent quetzal. It’s a really bright emerald green bird with a bright red chest. It has a 2 foot long tail! I heard one while hiking in the cloud forest in Monteverde, Costa Rica. We tried so hard to find it, but they are really good at blending in. They are very rare, which makes them even more extraordinary.

What is Kenneth's favorite outdoor activity?

Bird watching, crabbing and hiking
