Receive Text UpdatesAnimals and insects are what Keaton loves the most about nature! Last summer Keaton got to see Elk, Bighorn Sheep, Mule Deer, and Rainbow Trout while hiking in Colorado. At home in Indiana he likes searching for insects in the backyard. He enjoys finding worms, snails, & frogs, and making habitats for them.
Keaton’s favorite animal is a coati! He has a stuffed animal coati that came from Arizona, that his Grandparents got for him. Keaton would love to see a coati in the wild one day! He thinks they are interested because of their long unique stripped tails. Coatis also have long claws that help them climb.
Hiking is Keaton’s favorite outdoor activity! His favorite place to hike is at Spring Mill State Park in Indiana in the town next to us. He is always on the lookout for animals on our hikes. He spots birds, squirrels, deer, turtles, frogs, and fish. One of his favorite hiking trails is trail 3 because it takes him to Donaldson Cave. During his hike in the cave he looks for bats. Keaton loves that hiking gives him the opportunity to see new animals and new places!
