What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreKaylin loves being outside in the fresh air and interacting with many creatures. When it rains, she will be outside catching nightcrawlers or saving them on the sidewalk. When it's sunny, she makes sure that no one picks the dandelions, so the bees have food. All year long, she enjoys watching the deer and turkey make their way through our yard to our neighbor's feeder. She also feeds the geese and fish at our local park, where she once had a close encounter with a bear.
Kaylin's favorite animal is the river otter because they're cute and funny. She likes to watch videos of them chattering and playing. She hopes to one day go to a sanctuary where she can interact and swim with them.
Kayin enjoys going for nature walks on trails and also going to a place called Ohiopyle, in the mountains near her home. She loves collecting flowers, muscle shells, and rocks. She also has had many wildlife encounters there; to include wild geese, a water snake, crayfish, and a variety of birds that will eat french fries from her hands.
