What does Juniper love most about nature?

Juniper loves that nature is always changing and full of wonder. She can watch hawks in the clear sky one day and look for frogs in the rain the next. She loves looking closely at everything, from insects on the tree bark to wildlife in the river. Even at home, she watches the lizards, quail, and roadrunners in our backyard and is just as amazed by them every day. Being in nature makes her feel calm and more curious about the living world around her, there is something new to love every day.

What is Juniper's favorite animal—and why?

Juniper’s favorite animal is snakes. She loves them because they’re so different and often misunderstood. She’s fascinated by their eyes and enjoys learning everything about how they live. She is always sharing facts she learns about animals, especially snakes. We go to the zoo a few times a month because she just can’t get enough. She hopes to work with animals like them one day.

What is Juniper's favorite outdoor activity?

She loves exploring anywhere she can, but especially near water like rivers or tide pools. She is always observing when she’s outdoors; looking for animal tracks, digging in the dirt, searching for animals in the distance with her binoculars, and spotting unique rocks. She loves studying plants and trees, noticing leaf patterns and how they produce pollen or seeds. She wants to climb every tree she sees to find out what lives there. She could spend all day outside discovering.
