What does Junia love most about nature?

“Hmmm, that’s pretty hard. Animals.” Junia said that being in nature makes her feel “happy and cozy.” She loves new adventures— especially if they promise an animal encounter. It doesn’t have to be anything exotic or expensive to blow her away. Recently she had what she described as a “magical moment” with a curious duck who came right up to her along a lakeshore.

What is Junia's favorite animal—and why?

It’s hard for any animal to contend with Junia’s pup, Lusa. They share a sweet bond and lots of belly rubs. When pressed, she said birds are a close second, with nightingales topping the aviary friends. She especially loves that they inspired her favorite brand of ice cream sandwiches!

What is Junia's favorite outdoor activity?

Junia loves hitting the slopes on her skis. “It makes me feel like I’m flying.” Thankfully, we live near a ski area in Northern Arizona and she gets to ski with her ski team every Friday! Being outside is great. Being outside with friends? Amazing.
