She enjoys exploring the land, discovering natural springs, creating trails, and understanding how the outdoors works together. Being outside gives her freedom to explore, build, and grow her respect for the environment. She especially loves learning how to care for the land while having fun and discovering new places, just like a Junior Ranger protects and explores nature.
Josie’s favorite animal is a horse because she has grown up caring for and riding them. From miniature ponies to trail horses, horses have taught her responsibility, patience, and respect for animals. She loves them all, but horses hold a special place in her heart—especially Chloe, a horse she helped rescue last year and nursed back to great health. Caring for Chloe showed Josie the importance of compassion, stewardship, and protecting animals, just like a Junior Ranger.
Josie’s favorite outdoor activity is fishing at our family ponds. While she loves riding bikes on trails, fishing, riding her four‑wheeler, and spending time on horseback, fishing is what she enjoys most. She loves the quiet, patience, and excitement of being outdoors by the water, watching nature, and spending time on the land. Fishing allows her to relax, observe wildlife, and appreciate the outdoors—making it her favorite way to connect with nature.
