Receive Text UpdatesJohnny's answer is "all of it". He loves to be outside! John is a bug collecting, fish catching, tent sleeping, mountain climbing, fun loving happy boy. John has Type 1 Diabetes but is determined to not let that affect his love of life by exploring nature and all it's incredible complexities. John get's excited to have "adventures" and his love goes beyond just wildlife... Johnny loves learning about plants and rock and minerals. He wants to know science: the why and how of things!
"Ants!" says Johnny. John loves learning about, collecting / releasing, and finding insects. Specifically, he has a fascination of ants and bees and their colony structured relationships. We are taking steps to start an ant colony right now in the house so he can closer watch and study. John's favorite "toy" is a magnifying collection jar. Spiders climbing on his hands... no problem.
Johnny immediately answers: "Looking for bugs!" This just reinforces the last answer about loving insects and ants. I can say though, one of our normal fun family evenings are around the campfire in the back of our property. We run around, play outdoor games, and explore the woods behind our house. From learning about mushrooms we find, to monitoring the water level in the pond, to trying to find and catch those illusive peepers... it's tough to pick a favorite!
