What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreJoey really loves the birds chirping and how the leaves are different colors. He loves all of the cool animals and collecting the fur or feathers he finds in bushes or in the woods. At National Parks, he likes to look at all the cool things, like waterfalls. He likes to collect Junior Ranger badges while learning about the world of national parks. Whenever we tell him we are going to a park, he says, "Will I be able to earn a Junior Ranger badge there?" He loves all things plants & bugs!
Joey's favorite animals are sloths and elephants. He loves sloths because they are so cute and they are really slow. He likes their fur! He really likes elephants because he loves how cute baby elephants are. He loves when they spray water on themselves. He likes watching elephants charge toward another animal because it looks like they are trying to play together. Also, Joey has never met a bug that he didn't love.
Joey likes to run around in the woods and lay down. He likes to lay on his belly & look at the ants crawling and see a bunch of the bugs crawling. He loved seeing an 8-legged spider crawl past. He loves to ride his bike and walk on trails. Joey doesn't need to travel to enjoy the outdoors - he spends his summers exploring the backyard, building in the sandbox and admiring the world. As a child with ADHD, he appreciates the way that nature moves, changes & grows. There is always something to see!
