Receive Text UpdatesHe loves going into nature not knowing what adventure he will find. Seeing wildlife in their natural habitats is exciting and peaceful at the same time. Nature helps clear his mind as he tunes focus to protecting animals by cleaning up trash nearby or observing tracks and learning more about the wildlife around him. It makes him really happy to be out there.
His favorite animal is the hellbender salamander because they are an indicator species, which means they show if the water is clean and healthy. They eat crayfish by sucking them in with their strong force, and the dads guard the eggs & protect the babies. He thinks that is so interesting and important to understand this species.
His favorite outdoor activity is tracking and searching for animals, identifying them and observing their habitats or surroundings. He likes to draw what he finds in a nature journal or study more about them in pocket field guides.
