What is Jr. Ranger?

Feeling connected and having a responsibility to help others understand the nature all around us, everywhere and how important it is to protect. James has a natural instinct to help others see what he sees in nature and what they’re missing and why every organism is important. He loves learning all the small details of every species around him and then teaching others. He loves blowing their minds! I can see his eyes light up as he does.
James says his favorite animal is a dragonfly naiad because they are really great predators that lie-in-wait & their mouthparts extend to catch their prey! Also because they breathe through their butts! (They have gills in their anuses.) He also loves watching them play by doing flips and spins around water as adults and they can catch their prey in mid-air! And their eyes go all the way back & meet in the middle so they can see a 360 view.
James’ favorite outdoor activity is finding insects and watching pollination happen. He also loves freediving/snorkeling! He can dive down to 20 feet on one breath and he likes to find conch shells with hermit crabs in them and spy the fish that camouflage themselves and show his friends!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
