What does Isla love most about nature?

Isla loves the way nature smells, especially the salty ocean air and spring flowers. She says the ocean smells like “adventure.” Being outside makes her calm and curious. She loves listening to waves, feeling the wind in the plants, and carefully looking for animals and tiny creatures most people might miss.

What is Isla's favorite animal—and why?

Isla’s favorite animal is a sea turtle. She loves how their shells look underwater and how they protect them like armor. When she sees one swimming slowly through the ocean, she gets very quiet and watches. She often talks about how the ocean is their home and why we should keep it clean to protect them.

What is Isla's favorite outdoor activity?

Isla’s favorite outdoor activity is snorkeling in kelp forests and over reefs. Even at five years old, she loves floating quietly and looking for fish, sea stars, and other ocean animals. She treats it like an underwater treasure hunt and always wants to learn the names of the creatures she finds. She says the ocean is her favorite place to learn.
