What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreIndy loves the animals in nature. He thinks that wild animals are so cool to learn about, he recites interesting facts about animals on a daily basis. We have created a local nature group to meet weekly; to explore/learn about plants and animals in our area. He loves reading our ranger rick magazine. His favorite shows include Leo the wildlife ranger and wild kratts because they give him all the animal facts.
Bison- Indy thinks bison are cool because they charge at other animals. He likes the humps they have on their back to help keep them warm and plow through snow in the cold winter. He also thinks it is interesting that they have orange calfs. We are hoping to make one day make trip to Yellowstone National Park in hopes to see wild bison up close.
Indy loves to catch butterflies. We also like to go to Beaver Creek Reserve to visit their butterfly house (We love all that Beaver Creek has to offer year round). He also likes to set up deer cameras and look for signs of deer. While he looks for deer he likes to identify other animals tracks. In the summer he likes to dig for worms to use for fishing. This year we are trying our hand at tapping maple trees. Some kids dream of Disney land, Indy thinks an African safari sounds more fun.
