Learn MoreHunter has always loved nature since he was able to speak. He enjoys learning and observing wildlife in their habitats especially reptiles and amphibians. He loves seeing how they coexist with each other and how they live in balance. We always go on hikes and turn over logs and rocks searching for different species of salamanders and snakes and always wants his picture taken with them. He has trail cameras setup and always like seeing what different animals are around such as deer and coyotes.
His favourite animal are turtles and tortoises and actually has a red eared slider named Lea and two Herman’s tortoises Terry and Shelly. Everyday after school he always talks to them and feeds them and gives them their daily head scratches. Sine a young age he was obsessed with dinosaurs which is why he loves all reptiles but always loved turtles/ tortoises after seeing them in the wild on vacation.
He loves going on hikes and seeing what he can find and observe. Just today we came back from a hike and we observed two coyotes which were curious about us as we were about them and made his day. If we are lucky enough to find a pond or lake he likes to see if he can spot painted turtles basking on a log and all the different species of waterfowl he can name. What better way to learn than up close and personal with these awesome creatures.
