Hunter loves many things about nature, but what he loves most is the connection he builds with it—the quiet trust between himself and the animals around him. At his little off grid cottage on Georgian Bay, Hunter didn’t just observe wildlife from a distance; he became part of their world. A family of six swans nested on the island, and over time, Hunter patiently earned their trust. They began to recognize and even swim alongside him.
Hunter’s favourite animal is the snake, and not for the reasons most people might expect. While many see snakes as something to fear, Hunter sees something completely different. He sees calm, strength, and quiet importance. They don’t chase attention or make noise they move with purpose and patience, relying on instinct and awareness rather than force. Hunter admires how snakes can be both powerful and peaceful.
Hunter’s favourite outdoor activity is exploring nature, because it’s where his curiosity, confidence, and respect for the outdoors all come together. For Hunter, exploring isn’t about getting from one place to another it’s noticing everything along the way. Whether he’s walking through the bush, paddling along the shoreline, or quietly watching wildlife, he takes the time to observe the small details most people might miss. Every trip outside is an opportunity to learn something new!
