From the piney woods of East, TX to the Hill Country ( and my own backyard in Keller, TX ) - I love watching how birds migrate to different areas at different times of the year. I love how the same bird species can look different depending on its adaptations to its specific locations for survival. Just by listening to bird calls I am able to identify them while I am out in nature. This is a skill I have developed over the years.
Pintail Ducks are my favorite bird - watching their movements in the water, their unique tail, and their specific call. I enjoy watching them bob their head in the water searching for food while their tail points straight up to the sky.
I enjoy calling in birds with my bird calls and then capturing pictures with my camera. Since getting my bird camera for Christmas I have taken over 6,000 pictures of birds. I like to get into blinds and hide so the birds don’t see me - that’s how I can get the best pictures. I am known as “The bird Nerd” everywhere I go! I take that as the best compliment EVER! I dream of studying ornithology at Texas A&M University one day!
