Snowy owls have always been particularly fascinating to Hooper. Living in Northern Michigan, he is no stranger to cold, long winters and finds fun things to do in the snow and ice! He also loves how they can blend in or stand out (depending on the situation), how quietly they can move, and that they don’t mind skunks because they can’t smell all that well!
Hooper’s favorite outdoor activity has to be a tie between swimming, hiking and biking - he and his brother regularly take their parents for walks on hiking trails or the beach, and Hooper always picks up trash along the way. He is careful to Leave No Trace and to leave nature better than how he found it.
