Receive Text UpdatesHolly is fascinated by the balance of nature, the variety of behaviors and specified adaptations within species, and how crucial nature is for our own survival. She loves the beauty of everything, particularly species that are often misunderstood or maligned such as snakes, spiders, opossums, bats, etc. and actively advocates for their better understanding, respect, and care. Holly loves to see them thrive after we've rehabilitated and released them, it means the world to her.
Historically, her favorites have always been felid species — cats, leopards, jaguars, tigers, etc. Recently she has developed a fascination with coyotes and their behavior and social structure, and their crucial role in the ecosystem here in Georgia. As we mentioned above, she's always loved misunderstood species the most and has a kinship with them. She believes we are ALL important and have a place, human and animal alike.
We rehab wildlife, and Holly loves to go out and gather native wild foods and supplies for the animals in our care, learning what they require to thrive and prepare for independence. She also loves to look for snakes and critters by exploring with us, lifting logs, exploring streams, etc.
