What does Hazel love most about nature?

Hazel loves starting the day early to see what nature is doing—watching birds, exploring near water, and searching for hidden details along the trail. One morning in Yellowstone, while we watched wolves, she quietly painted the moment for at least an hour at only 9 years old. That’s Hazel—curious, present, and always finding something exciting to discover.

What is Hazel's favorite animal—and why?

Hazel's favorite animal is a mountain lion because they are close to domestic cats, and they are very mysterious and no one ever sees them, unless they're lucky. Hazel is a huge fan of cats.

What is Hazel's favorite outdoor activity?

Hazel says she loves being outside exploring and going on adventures. She likeswatching birds and butterflies, playing in water, and finding hidden treasures. Everything feels alive and exciting! I even like hairy spiders, but not the other spiders. Nature makes me feel curious and happy, like there’s always something new to discover.
