Everything! No day is too hot or too cold, too rainy or cloudy to stop this kid from exploring nature. She loves learning about plants and animals and is very knowledgeable. She has always been extremely passionate about saving the planet, and she can see how each individual creature, both big and small, have a profound effect on everything around them. She has always wanted to live with the animals. She finds beauty in all of nature, even in each and every bug. She even has love for mosquitoes!
The Dhole is her favorite animal because it whistles, can climb trees, can jump 7' straight up and is an excellent swimmer. She loves how athletic and intelligent they are. She loves that they are exceptional communicators and use whistling to convey information as they travel through the forest. She also loves how the packs can come together to form a superpack and share the kill, as this type of thinking helps ensure survival. The cherry on top is that it’s also a canine.
She absolutely loves exploring creeks and streams to see what creatures she can find. She will spend as much time as she is allowed turning over rocks and searching under logs. She loves to build temporary habitats for the creatures. (They never leave the stream). Since she was very young (2) she has been building 'bug hotels' and snake houses for our backyard friends. She puts so much thought and care into the creation of these 'homes' and some have been used by creatures for years.
