What does Gunner love most about nature?

Gunner loves “the hunt” that being in nature provides. He is constantly searching in nature for things such as fossils, interesting rocks, paw prints, scat, signs of wildlife, and of course seeing any wildlife is a highlight. He seems to be the first to spot things. Currently, we live in Texas and finding lizards is a cinch for this outdoorsman. When he has the opportunity to interact with animals in nature or observe them, it is an absolute privilege for him.

What is Gunner's favorite animal—and why?

He has never met an animal he didn’t find interesting, but his current favorite would be horses. He is taking horseback riding lessons and is loving learning about how to care for, approach, and ride a horse. Gunner loves horses because he enjoys that he and the horse work as a team and enjoy each other’s company. Just spending time caring for or feeding a horse is quite special, but riding a horse is even more thrilling!

What is Gunner's favorite outdoor activity?

His favorite outdoor activity is hiking! He enjoys getting to move through nature and discover new things and creatures. His adventurous spirit has allowed him to go backpacking, zip-lining, kayaking, paddle boarding and any creatures he gets to meet along the way make the experience even more memorable! He thinks that being a Ranger in a national park could be a pretty cool job to pursue because he’d get to do and be with all of his favorite things!
