I asked Grayson, 4, his favorite thing about nature. Without hesitation: “Animals!” He said he loves how every animal is different and how he can learn about them. He’s obsessed with Wild Kratts, talks about musk oxen, and dreams of becoming animals to understand them. When he learned about poaching, he was deeply concerned and wanted to help protect them. His love for animals—especially horses—shows his heart, curiosity, and desire to care for nature. He would thrive as a Junior Ranger someday!
Grayson’s favorite animal is horses. He’s had a strong passion for them since he was two. We collect toy horses, have over 10 books about them, and everyone who knows him gifts anything horse-related. He names all his horses and loves their speed, beauty, and uniqueness. He knows so much about their breeds, habitats, and care. Anytime he sees a horse, he lights up. Without a doubt, horses are his favorite.
Grayson’s favorite outdoor activity is planting and growing with his dad, something they’ve done since he was two. He loves learning how nature works from seed to fruition and enjoying their garden together. We live in New Jersey, he also loves building snowmen and playing in the snow. When we visit the Caribbean to visit family he enjoys the beach building sand forts and exploring the countryside. Whether rain, shine, or snow, he’s happiest outside, learning and connecting with nature.
