What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn MoreGrant is not happy unless we release him into nature. He comes home from school and immediately goes outside until dinner time. He loves everything from the moss on the ground to the birds in the sky. He builds small terrariums, medium dioramas and large forts. He’s a gentle soul that will cry if we see a dead animal. Grant plans to be an archeologist looking for an ancient Egyptian mummies and dinosaurs part of the year, and the remainder of the year being a lobsterman in Maine.
He loves SNAKES! everything is snakes in our world. We like to take credit for the school library creating a snake section for his contagious love of snakes which now is a popular item for everyone. Even those who don’t love a snake can enjoy Grants enthusiasm.
He loves building. He makes fairy homes in the trees, he builds structures with sticks, and patterns with rocks. He’s is constantly looking for snakes and turtles. And has been this way since he was born. When he was a baby, he used to toddle past all the playground equipment at our local park onto a near by beach and play at the water edge coming home soaking wet with no interest in the swings and slides. His teachers would all agree. He’s a nature soul.
